Low dispersion lenses, known as ED, have long been considered a welcome development in the world of optics. By containing chromatic aberrations, ED treatment enables optically “cleaner” and significantly more pleasing observations. Although there may be qualitative differences between one ED treatment and another, the technical and mechanical specifications of this series were dictated and designed specifically to achieve an instrument whose overall quality characteristics could satisfy even the most experienced observers.
